Within the project, we developed and implemented a comprehensive testing and automation methodology for one of Europe's leading Telco service providers. We also established a test pool group to ensure the long-term application of the newly developed methodology and to handle testing and automation tasks in the company's internal application development projects.

What approach did we apply?

In the initial stages of collaboration, after thoroughly understanding the client's needs, we worked together to develop a set of requirements that we gradually implemented over the years, following the envisioned strategy. Since the new process consisted of multiple interrelated tasks, methodological elements, and applications, we approached the planning and implementation by breaking it down into smaller units and milestones.

What was the objective to achieve?

From the very beginning, we aimed to establish a robust and adaptable methodology and toolset that would stand the test of time, leverage current professional and technological opportunities to the fullest extent, and enable the client to meet the quality expectations for their software products.

What actions did we take?

When introducing a corporate quality assurance methodology, the greatest challenge typically lies in the quantity, diversity, and coordination of tasks.

As a first step, we created an implementation plan that aimed to illustrate the sequence of tasks and their interdependencies, with a focus on identifying critical points and risks. Subsequently, we planned the change management tasks to ensure timely and sufficient information delivery to stakeholders regarding the project's progress and the necessity of changes.

Thanks to precise preparation, the implementation proceeded according to the plans, with continuous measurement and fine-tuning. The introduction of tools was scheduled for the middle and final stages of the project when the necessary internal processes were already operating smoothly. The involvement of experts in the project increased proportionally with the growth in the number and complexity of tasks, all while providing continuous support.

What was the outcome of the collaboration?

Thanks to the introduction of the new testing and automation methodology, the internal IT department was able to meet the management's short-term and long-term plans, achieving efficiency improvements through innovative solutions and skilled employees. Another significant achievement was the successful transfer of expertise gained during test automation to the automation of certain processes in live systems.

The experience gained during the introduction of the testing and automation methodology, as well as the collaborative participation in the project, allowed the development of a professional testing team that provided the client with the necessary resources over the long term.
