Donate at TestIT

After the first few years of the business, in the run-up to Christmas, we had the idea to donate some of TestIT's profits to an organisation whose aims we share. It seemed like a good idea at the time, and after a successful implementation, we decided to make it a regular feature of our company.

Connecting with the community: the TestIT donation programme

Initially, we were driven by the idea that in addition to giving gifts to our colleagues and clients, it would be nice to give something of what we have received not only to our own circles, but also to the outside world. After a short while of thinking about it, we decided to give Saint Martin's Children's Aid Public Benefit Foundation who are helping the National Ambulance Service to save children across the country.

The on-site care and transport of life-threatened young children requires special professional, practical and instrumental skills, for which the OMSZ ambulances have neither specially trained professionals nor special equipment - the foundation aims to fill this gap. They operate without public funding and have been operating for more than 20 years on donations and 1% of taxes. We met one of their runner-ambassadors during a campaign for the purchase and installation of a new pediatric ambulance, and his personal inspiration, as well as the organisation's activities and values, helped us make our decision.

The donation process

When we reached out to the Foundation, they were eager to assist and gladly accepted our support, even though it was likely modest compared to their overall budget. We invited them to our Christmas dinner, and two representatives attended: an operations manager and a medical specialist. Their dedication and complete commitment to the cause were evident, making us feel proud and reassured that we were contributing to a worthy organization.

They shared a lot about their operations, and our colleagues were able to ask serious questions during the conversation, to which we always received answers — sometimes even shocking ones. Another positive outcome of the event was that, based on the feedback, it sparked something in the attending colleagues that they can incorporate into their daily lives.

Charity at Christmas: TestIT's Donor Initiative

After this, it was clear that we would turn our donation activities into a tradition and, each year at our end-of-year Christmas event, we would donate the amount we would have spent on ourselves to a charitable organization. Our goal is to support foundations that help children in difficult situations in some way. We have already decided on the organization we will support this year and will provide more information about it soon. However, we are open to suggestions for future donations that align with our goals.
