The execution of technological projects typically demands a particularly high level of expertise. We encountered such a challenge when we were engaged by a financial institution client.
The scope of the project involved a version upgrade of the architecture supporting a critical business process. The complexity of the task necessitated the development of an independent test strategy and test plan, complemented by the introduction of test management tools.
What approach did we apply?
The expected short turnaround time and the simultaneous high complexity of the task demanded precise planning. To achieve this, right from the start of the project, we collaborated with the client to create a detailed resource plan broken down into weeks.
Subsequently, we focused on strategy development and delved into the intricacies of the testing processes, continuously considering the aspects of introducing test management applications.

What was the objective to achieve?
The goals set by the client encompassed both short-term and long-term objectives. On one hand, it was necessary to organize the complete testing process of the project, while on the other hand, ensuring the smooth execution of testing activities. Additionally, there was a need for the immediate selection and implementation of a test management tool, as the processes were already planned to be carried out using the new tool.
What actions did we take?
The project was divided into three distinct tasks.
Initially, through discussions and interviews with the company's experts and responsible leaders, we identified the project's expectations, requirements, and implementation possibilities.
Following this, we developed a comprehensive corporate-level testing strategy that defined the execution and toolset of testing processes and tasks for development projects in the long term.
Subsequently, based on this strategic methodology, we created the testing plan for the technological project, which, in alignment with the project plan, detailed the testing tasks and resources.
In parallel, we also selected and implemented the test management tool in a way that it could fully support and serve the processes and methodologies outlined in the strategy, as well as meet the expectations of the ongoing technological project.

What was the outcome of the collaboration?
Thanks to our collaboration, we were able to demonstrate to the client the significant added value of well-defined testing processes, meticulous test planning, and the deliberate use of testing tools.
Together with the client, we successfully developed a practice that seamlessly integrated into their project methodology and contributed to quality assurance in testing, regardless of the type of IT projects.
We are delighted that our testing methodology concepts have since been validated by other projects executed by the client, fostering a more transparent, standardized, and efficient operation.
We hope that this project serves as an example for other companies grappling with testing challenges.
